- Album and EP releases worth a listener’s attention, with release dates and where to hear them.
- Instrument and audio gear launches, with pricing and availability given for more than one market rather than a single-country figure.
- Firmware, driver and software updates that fix or break something people rely on.
- Industry changes — streaming payouts, distribution, retail and regulation affecting working musicians.
- Living trackers for the year’s releases in the genres this site follows, kept updated rather than published once and abandoned.
How news is handled
A press release is a claim, not a fact, and is reported as one. Announced specifications are attributed to the manufacturer until they have been verified independently. Prices are quoted in the currency the manufacturer announced, and marked as converted or unannounced where a local figure does not yet exist, because launch pricing rarely lands everywhere at once. Rumours and leaks are generally left alone; when they are covered, the sourcing and the uncertainty go in the first paragraph.
News stories are updated in place when facts change, with a dated note explaining what was amended. The corrections policy and the right of reply are in the editorial policy.
For PR and label contacts
Announcements are welcome through the contact form. Include pricing by region, the availability date and whether an embargo applies. Coverage is never guaranteed, is never traded for advertising or review units, and is not influenced by any commercial relationship — see the disclosure.
