Tomorrow, my new album, “Interior Drawings” will be available in all streaming services and digital platforms. It will also be available on cassette tapes, whose symbolism I have talked about many times.
The lockdown trilogy is my experiment, not only musical, but also publishing. And, to be honest, if it weren’t released mainly in digital form to begin with, it probably wouldn’t be completed (considering my parallel involvement in Riverside and Lunatic Soul) in two years. The (not only) music market during the pandemic is struggling. It faces many problems with long waiting times for vinyl production, special editions etc. The finished material usually needs to be submitted half a year in advance. I said ‘no’ to that in the case of these three: “Lockdown Spaces”, “Claustrophobic Universe”, and now “Interior Drawings”. I wanted to share them with you as soon as they were ready. That’s why they’re mainly on Bandcamp, digital, and the symbolic cassette.
On top of that, I also wanted to underline that the albums released under MD are a different world from Riverside or Lunatic Soul. That it’s a THIRD independent music entity.
So, now that the whole thing is out there, is there a chance for traditional physical media? The answer is yes. There are plans to release the entire trilogy in 2022 in a nice, interesting physical form.
But for now, consistently, just streaming and digital. And so the exclusive Bandcamp availability of “Interior Drawings” is coming to an end and, starting tomorrow, if you have access to different digital platforms, you can listen to the album there as well.
I hope that you will enjoy the final instalment of the “Lockdown Trilogy” and that it will be a good complement to the upcoming festive time of relaxation and reflection. I needed this strange, instrumental electronic world. This is the kind of music that has felt closest to me for the past few years. I’m glad I can share it with you now.
