This year, I have decided to create my third music world, this time under my own name. It started from “The Song of a Dying Memory” and I announced then that I would be releasing only singles as MD. Meanwhile, instead of recording a second single, I decided to release… a strange, electronic, instrumental album inspired by the pandemic – “Lockdown Spaces”. For now, it’s available only online, on Bandcamp and other streaming services. What can I say… that’s what you get for being spontaneous. And what about the singles? Well, subcutaneous song number 2 will be released in August, and song number 3 – at the end of the year. At least that’s the plan. Naturally, as I keep joking, I don’t know how many instrumental electronic albums I might release between those songs.
Just so we’re all clear, Riverside and Lunatic Soul are still going on and are doing fine. Riverside are on a break until September 2020, and Lunatic Soul will be promoted after the summer months. So, at the moment, I’m mostly sharing my MD ideas with you.
The new Lunatic Soul album is possibly the release I have worked on the longest yet, and I hope it will beautifully crown this strange year, which has been not so great for live shows but quite good for artistic experiments.
And if you feel you’re getting a bit lost in all these plans, please check out the mariuszduda.md website, where I have outlined all my artistic endeavours in a clear way. I have recently finished watching “Dark” and believe me when I say, there are creators who are capable of many more twists and turns in their artistic vision.
I’d like to thank you all again for your ongoing support and interest, and if you’re currently somewhere on holiday, please do let yourselves truly rest.
